Back in 1987, I moved to Birmingham and as a unsure 30 year old, had my neighbors take me out to the clubs of Birmingham. It was the first time that I had the opportunity to see the world of Drag. I saw Bronzie De Marco, And Tasha Long perform at The Rage. What an experience. Your story on Bronzie brought back so many memories of seeing what I now say is the Golden Days of Drag. So many I remember, some have long since left us, and most if not all have left the area. Jessica Southern, Natalie Evans, Raven Mad, Zee Jones, Sofanda Peters, Hillary Jordan, Summer Devine and many more. Once again, thank you for capturing their stories and keeping them alive for so many that had the great honor to see them perform and for those that never had that pleasure. It truly was a Golden Age for Drag. Claude Hill Reply Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
